9° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Dio ha creato l’anima dell’uomo come un immenso scrigno capace di contenere Dio stesso, affinché egli diventi simile a Sé mediante le opere che devono infrangere la durezza e la disarmonia della natura decaduta.
E’ proprio lo scopo dell’arte monastica condurci a scoprire il tesoro che ci portiamo in cuore, facendoci rinascere nello Spirito, tramite la preghiera e la lotta contro i vani pensieri.

10° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

La solitudine per Dio favorisce la preghiera dei veri adoratori; la loro continua applicazione alle realtà divine opera la purificazione del cuore perché alla fine essi possano aderire a Dio e formare con lui un solo spirito.

11° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Per avere un cuore di povero che non cerchi di far distinzione fra chi è degno e chi non lo è, occorre una totale abnegazione, la lotta contro le tendenze sregolate e uno sforzo sostenuto. Ma la povertà autentica ci fa superare la tristezza e acquistare la perla di gran valore. La povertà è una beatitudine, è Cristo stesso.

Nel suo Figlio, Dio ha voluto conoscere per esperienza la nostra miseria, affinché la sua misericordia fosse, se possibile, ancora più totale; essa è giunta fino a farlo morire per liberarci dalla mortale schiavitù in cui eravamo precipitati. 
Dio ha un solo desiderio: la nostra conversione, per cui non c’è da scoraggiarci se pecchiamo; occorre semplicemente rialzarci con fiducia. Beata l’anima che arriva a percepire la misericordia divina!.

9^th Sunday of the Year

God has created the human soul like an immense jewel box which is able to hold God Himself, in order that the person might become like Him by means of the good deeds which must break up the hardness and the disharmony of decadent nature.

It is preceisely the aim of the monastic art to lead us to discover the treasure which we bear in our own hearts, giving us a new birth in the Spirit, through prayer and the struggle against vain thoughts.

10^th Sunday of the Year

For God, solitude favours the prayer of the true adorers; their continuous application to the divine realities works out the purification of the heart so that ultimately they may be one with God to form with Him one unique spirit.

11^th Sunday of the Year

In order to have the heart of a poorman who does not seek to distinguish between who is worthy and who is not, there need be a total renunciation of oneself, a struggle against unruly inclinations and a sustained effort. Yet true poverty will help us overcome sadness and acquire the pearl of great value. Poverty is a beatitude, it is Christ himself.

12^th Sunday of the Year

In His Son, God wanted to know our misery by experience, so that his mercy were, if possible, even more encompassing; it has reached a point to make him die so as to free us from mortal slavery in which we had fallen. God only wants one thing: he wishes us to convert, so that there will be nothing to discourage us if we sin; we then only have to rise up again with trust in Him. Blessed is the soul which succeeds to perceive divine mercy!
