24° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

L’economia divina sollecita in risposta il nostro amore.
Dobbiamo credere alla Provvidenza divina e non preoccuparci per nulla, cercando unicamente la giustizia del regno, Se Dio è lento ad esaudirci, non ci crucciamo;
se egli ci invia ora qualche prova, ora qualche consolazione, ciò dipende dalla sua paterna previdenza che lavora per renderci simili a lui.

25° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Fin da ora la risurrezione di Cristo ha misticamente luogo in noi, soprattutto tramite l’esichia, prelibazione del giorno quundo Dio sarà tutto in tutti.
Eppure non è la nostra industria, ma l’azione dello Spirito di Cristo che ci fa sperimentare la dolcezza della conoscerza divina, ossia la vita eterna per cui ognuno di noi può esclamare: "So che non morrò!"

26° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Abbàssati per onorare la verità
e vedrai Dio comandare a tutte le creature di lodarti.
La creazione ti svelerà la gloria del Creatore
che dal fondo della sua eternità si esprime attraverso le opere;
riceverai un lembo dell'elogio che spetta all'Onnipotente,
perché sarai diventato sua autentica immagine .

27° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Amare Dio con tutto il cuore non significa forse amarlo con tutto il nostro amore? Ma deve essere un amore infocato. Ne segue che non dobbiamo amare molte altre cose, almeno non con affetto privilegiato.
Amare Dio con tutta l'anima vuole dire dedicarsi con tutto se stesso nell'esercizio del suo amore, cioè amare Dio di un amore puro e semplice.

28° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Dio è buono con i peccatori che lo invocano. Infatti la supplica nel nome del Signore Gesù purifica l’anima. Così esso può far ritorno alle sue origini divine. Nel silenzio l’anima può conoscere il proprio peccato e la bontà di Dio verso di lei, e allora si profonderà in rendimento di grazie verso la misericordia.

24^th Sunday of the Year

The Divine Economy entreats within us our love as a reply.

We should believe in Divine Providence and not let anything else preoccupy us, only seeking justice coming from the kingdom. If God is slow to hear us, we need not worry;

If He now sends us some trial, now some consolation, all this depends on His fatherly prudence and foresight which is always working to make us similar to Himself.

25^th Sunday of the Year

It is as from now that Christ’s resurrection mystically takes place within us, above all through the emptying of ourselves, which is a foretaste of the time when God will be all in all.

Even then, it would not be our labours to achieve this but the action of the Holy Spirit which makes us experiment the sweetness of divine awareness, or rather eternal life for which each one of us can exclaim: "I know I will not die!"

26^th Sunday of the Year

Lower yourself down to honour truth

and you will see God ordering all creatures to honour you.

Creation will reveal to you the glory of the Creator

Who from the very depth of eternity expresses Himself through His doings;

you will receive a tiny fraction of the praise belonging to the Omnipotent,

because you would have become His authentic image.

27^th Sunday of the Year

To love God with all one’s heart, does it not mean perhaps to love Him with all our love? However, it has to be a burning love. It thus follows that we should not be loving may other things, at least not with any privileged fondness.

To love God with all one’s heart means dedicating all of oneself to the affection of his love, namely to love God with a pure and simple love.

28^th Sunday of the Year

God is good with sinners who implore Him.

Actually, calling the name of the Lord Jesus purifies the soul. In that manner a person could return to his divine origins. In silence the soul can recognize its own sin and God’s goodness towards it, and will consequently sink itself in rendering thanksgiving towards divine mercy.
