29° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Il Signore ci spinge ad entrare in comunione con lui,
ci dona l’abito nuziale per prendere parte al banchetto,
dissetarci del suo Spirito e nutrirci della sua Parola.
Fin d’ora possiamo sperimentare un anticipo del gaudio
del festino eterno.

30° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Per ricrearci Dio non si serve più di fango terroso,
ma ci dona il suo corpo,
sicché non siamo più di noi stessi,
ma di colui che si unisce a noi.
Cristo si sorbisce le mie amarezze
per darmi la dolcezza della sua grazia.
Egli ha una fame immensa di me.
Continua ad invitarmi a bere
e a mangiare il pane della vita.
L’eucaristia ci inabissa nella contemplazione di Dio.

31° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Il ricordo delle offese è veleno per il cuore
e il monaco deve ingaggiare nel segreto la dura lotta
necessaria per liberarsene .
Calunniato o insultato il cristiano non deve reagire,
ma appellarsi a Dio nell’intimo del cuore,
pregarlo con le parole che il Signore stesso ci ha insegnato.
Per toccare le vette della carità,
occorre fissare gli occhi della mente
sulla serena pazienza di Gesù Salvatore.

32° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Il servizio di Dio richiede l’abbandono di ogni cura del mondo, per essere liberi di offrirgli le primizie di tutte le nostre attività.

Occorre perciò praticare la vera obbedienza, per compiere la volontà del Padre invece della nostra, dato che colui il quale non sottomette a Dio la propria volontà, si assoggetta all’avversario.

33° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Purché la nostra fede nelle realtà escatologiche sia stabile, essa ci conduce alla vita eterna.

Secondo l’ampiezza che la nostra fede riveste durante il pellegrinaggio terreno, altrettanto fulgente sarà il nostro essere nella gloria; infatti Dio è il Vivificatore e in lui il nostro essere non conosce la morte: soltanto la luce divina può saziarci per sempre.

34° Settimana del Tempo Ordinario

Bene e male sono nascosti in noi, perché le tentazioni sono seminate nel nostro cuore con i chicchi della virtù; sta a noi scegliere se diventare immagine di Dio o della materia.

Tuttavia, il Signore aspetta con longanimità il momento in cui ritorneremo totalmente a lui. Soprattutto mediante l’umiltà è sradicata la zizzania dal campo del Padrone divino, perché implorare da Cristo misericordia è chiedere da lui il regno.

29^th Sunday of the Year

The Lord pushes us to enter into communion with him,

he gives us the wedding dress to take part in the banquet,

to quench our thirst by means of his Spirit and to nourish us with his Word.

As from now we can experiment an anticipation of the joy

of the eternal banquet.

30^th Sunday of the Year

In order to recreate us God does not make use of earth clay any longer,

but He gives us His body,

in that we no longer belong to ourselves,

but to Him Who unites Himself to us.

Christ takes upon himself all my bitterness

to give me the sweetness of his grace.

He is in great hunger for me.

He continues to invite me to drink

and to eat the bread of life.

The Eucharist sinks us in the contemplation of God.

31^st Sunday of the Year

Recalling past offences is poison to the heart and the monk should engage himself secretly in the hard struggle which is necessary to free himself.

Calumnied or insulted the christian should not react, but appeal to God in the depth of his heart and pray Him with the same words which the Lord himself has taught us.

To touch the peak of charity, the christian need fix the eyes of the mind on the patient serenity of Jesus Saviour

32^nd Sunday of the Year

Serving God requires the abandonment of every solicitude for the world, to be able to offer Him the first fruits of all our activities.

True obedience need therefore be practised, to fulfil God’s will instead of ours, in such manner that whoever does not submit his own will to God, will be subjecting himself to the enemy.

33^rd Sunday of the Year

So long as our faith in eschatological reality is stable, it will lead us to life everlasting.

According to the fulness which our faith vests itself with this terrestrial pilgrimage, so much will our existence in glory be shining; in fact God is the Giver of Life and in Him our being does not recognize death: only divine light can overfill us for ever.

34^th Sunday of the Year – Feast of Christ the King

Both good and evil are hidden within us, since temptation is sown in our heart together with the seeds of virtue; it is up to us to choose if we become the image of God or of matter.

However, the Lord is ever waiting wholeheartedly for the time when we fully turn back to Him. Above all, it is through humility that the bad weeds are eradicated from the field of the Divine Father, since to implore mercy from Christ is asking him for the kingdom.
